“There is a thread thrown out that must be followed carefully one step at a time until you reach the rocky crag then jump and reach your destination the mysterious moment when you rise” Vicki Woodyard
There is a new website in town, StarrDaily.org. Starr Daily has long been at the top of my list as far as spiritual writers go. I had heard him quoted in other books I liked, but his books were long out of print. A condemned and hardened criminal, he experienced cosmic consciousness in prison and took a new name, Starr Daily.
“One day,” I thought, “I will find one of his books.” That day happened on a trip my late husband and I made to Asheville, North Carolina. In a used bookstore I found a copy of Release, a powerhouse of a book. In it was a calendar page someone had probably been using as a bookmark. It was June 9, the day of my late daughter’s birth. I felt this was a sign to me that the book had been placed there for me to find it. Ah, I felt so happy. I have gotten rid of many books since Bob died, but never would I get rid of Release.
I had been having problems with someone...unable to let go of my perceived position as “right.” I was filled with a sense of failure, anger and shame. When I found the copy of Release, it contained the answer to my unsolveable problem. Here is the sentence. “Love is not trying. It is ceasing to try.” From the chapter, Glorified Darkness, in Release by Starr Daily.
I immediately put this sentence to work in my own life. I turned the problem over to God and the relationship turned on a dime. That was many years ago. Such is the power of truth.
Starr Daily’s words bring us to our own jumping off place where truth begins to resurrect us into right relationship with the Self. I am happy to recommend anything Starr Daily wrote.
